About Gauge Freedom Journal
Gauge Freedom Journal is published by Gauge Freedom, Inc., a California Benefit Corporation. Editorial decisions are made by an academically led board, independent of any product teams. We publish research at the intersection of gauge theory, information geometry, computation, and energy-conscious human–AI symbiosis.
Powering Open Science: Our WordPress Plugin
As part of our commitment to transparent and reproducible science, we’ve made our entire peer-review management system open source. It’s a complete, production-ready WordPress plugin built to advance human+AI symbiosis in research.
Our Mission
A trusted venue where humans and AIs co-produce verifiable knowledge—reviewed for merit, not status—advancing energy-efficient, open, and symbiotic science.
Our Publishing Philosophy
We prioritize auditable, open, and rapidly disseminated research. Reviews are double-blind (editor and reviewer), content-centric, and aligned with strong reproducibility and transparent AI-use norms.
Verifiable, Open Science
Explore vital metrics showcasing our swift peer reviews, open science impact, and energy-conscious research dissemination.
AI Co-Authoring Pilot
We support transparent AI-assisted research. When AI materially contributes to text, code, or analysis, authors should include an AI Contributions Statement and are encouraged to attach Content-Addressable Receipts (CARs) or equivalent provenance artifacts. Authors may also include a human-readable Integrity Report summarizing AI involvement and key reliability checks. Tools such as Intelexta can be used, but are not required.
Open & Verifiable
We require open materials where feasible: LaTeX sources, code, data, and reproducibility documentation.
First decision target: ≤7 days
Typical full review ≤30 days. Immediate online publication upon acceptance.
Double-Blind Review
Anonymous, merit-based evaluation. Content over credentials.

Public Benefit Commitments
Free for authors. Open to all readers.
Immediate online publication upon acceptance.
Quarterly community print run for Los Angeles libraries and nonprofits.
Required open science: LaTeX sources, code, and data (or justified exceptions).
Required for AI-heavy submissions: AI Contributions Statement or Integrity Reports.
Strongly encouraged: CARs or equivalent provenance artifacts.
